Creating and executing a new landscape design can be a complicated process. Redwood Land Design avoids mistakes and inefficiencies on all of our jobs by sticking to a consistent plan and process. Here is what you can expect when you work with us.
You Contact Redwood Land Design
Whether by email or phone, the process starts when you reach out to us. We will respond as soon as possible to schedule your first visit.
On-site First Visit
We will come out to your home to take a look at your current landscape and figure out your desires for the project. Then, we will start to build a landscape design within the confines of:
- The soil, sunlight, and pest exposure
- The existing plants and wildlife
- Your allergies
- Your budget
The Design and Quote Are Completed
We create a landscape design and work plan that is as close to your intended vision as possible.
Next, an itemized quote will be drawn up. Often, we are able to create both the design and the quote during your first visit.
Once the quote is in your hand, we will give you time to decide if you want to work with us. We won’t try to push you into a decision with high-pressure sales tactics. If you need changes to be made to the plan at this point, we can work out alternatives.
If You Accept the Quote, Work Can Begin
If you decide to go ahead with the plan, we will choose on a starting date. Our team also takes care of the installation, remaining flexible to change through the process. It takes us between five and ten days to complete most projects.

You will be charged a flat fee of $199 at the consultation. This amount will go toward any work we complete if you decide to work with us.
For a discounted price we can also do remote consultations based on images of your property.
The Design and Quote Are Completed

Next, an itemized quote will be drawn up. Often, we are able to create both the design and the quote during your consultation.
